FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is PDF editing really free?

Yes, completely free. No paid plans, no subscription, no hidden fees and no sign-up — every feature is open to everyone.

Will the edited PDF have a watermark?

No. The saved file has no watermark, logo or extra pages — only the text you changed.

Why is it free?

The site is supported by ads. Files are never uploaded, so there are no storage costs — users are never charged.

Is my file uploaded to a server?

No. The PDF is opened and edited in your browser, and the result is created there too. The document content is never sent anywhere.

Will the font change?

If every character of the new text exists in the document’s font, that font is used. Otherwise a font metric-compatible with Arial, Times New Roman or Courier New is chosen — you can switch it in the toolbar.

Can I edit a scanned PDF?

A scanned document is an image with no real text. If the file has a text layer (OCR), its lines can be edited and the old text is covered with the background color.

Can I open a password-protected PDF?

Yes, after entering the password. The saved file has no password.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes, on any device with a modern browser: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge. Large documents are more comfortable on a computer.

Are Cyrillic and Uzbek letters supported?

Yes. You can type Latin (including o‘, g‘), Cyrillic and other European alphabets.

What text can’t be edited?

Text that is an image (scan, screenshot), lettering converted to outlines and some special fonts. Such areas are not highlighted.
